Kate and I had a rather nice trip to the Lakes this weekend. It was our first since we got back and we have been dreaming about it all the way round the world. Some would say that though beautiful, the Lakes are not as good as some of the places we have visited, and I'd agree. But they mean something to us and we enjoyed the trip to the pub for chill half and half.

The weather was supposed to be rain on Saturday morning and then heavy rain in the afternoon, but we found that that report was a load of... rubbish. It did rain in the morning but then the rain cleared for a clear night. It was cold but in our new NZ Macpac sleeping bags, very comfortable.
